Have the holiday festivities left you feeling bloated and sluggish?
Are your menopause symptoms out of control or have they come back with a vengeance?
Not to worry… you can fix that with a little post-holiday reboot. All it takes is a few minor adjustments and you’ll be back to feeling like yourself again.
I’ve put together three proven plans of action that I know will help you get back on track and get your menopause symptoms under control.
I’ve kept these action plans small and attainable because I want you to build your confidence.
Too many people fall into the New Year’s resolution trap of setting some big life changing goal.
Instead, when you set small goals, you are more likely to succeed, develop a sense of confidence and feel happy about your accomplishments. And happiness is key to healthiness.
So, set yourself up for success and feeling happy by choosing one or two of these post-holiday reboot action plans:
- Alcohol>> If you feel like you might have been drinking a little too much alcohol, consider a gentle liver cleanse. This will get things moving and eliminate belly bloat. Simply shred a couple of peeled beets, a fennel bulb, and a green apple. Put it all in a bowl with the juice and zest of one lemon, some olive oil and some salt. Eat about 1 ½ – 2 cups a day for 3-5 days for breakfast. For the rest of the day eat your normal healthy meals.
- Sugar>> If you’ve had your fill of cookies and cake but they keep beckoning you back to the cookie jar, consider a 5-day sugar detox. Stop eating all foods with sugar or artificial sweeteners for 5 days and add in 8-ounces of water every two hours. We did this in my Facebook Women’s Wellness Group with great success.
- Night-time Snacking >> Have all those treats been calling your name well into the night? Relinquish that night-time snacking with a 7-day night-time snacking challenge. Simply crowd out night-time snacks by adding in herb tea and be sure to eat your last meal at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This is super simple and so doable. You’ll be amazed at how great you’ll feel, and you’ll probably sleep like a baby.
What do you think? Can you see yourself doing one or two of these?
I’d be interested to hear from you. If you try any and need some additional support, pop me an email. I’m happy to help.
Cheers,
Patti
