There was the little text message ding. I looked and it was a client who was checking in to see how I was doing. And…she wanted to know if I wanted to attend a cooking class with her in August.
Now that text made my week. Why? Because she knows how much I love food and she was offering me something to look forward to.
We all need something to look forward to in life.
In fact, a healthy sense of “anticipation” can often help energize our lives, and even help us get through tough times.
While living in the present is a beneficial thing, sometimes the present can feel a bit frustrating. Especially during a pandemic.
When we find ourselves in those less-than-ideal present moments, having something to look forward can give us the motivation and persistence to keep moving forward even during difficult times.
That little “check-in” from my client felt so warm and fuzzy.
So, take a moment and think about it. What are you currently looking forward to in your life? It could be anything large or small, but it’s important that you find something.
If you find it hard to think of something to look forward to, then create something to look forward to. Keep it simple…maybe schedule a walk with a friend or a mini spa ½ hour where you take a bath with essential oils and a candle.
Just find something to make your future look a little brighter and happier – and relish in the anticipation of good things to come.
Sending a big hug,
Oh and by the way…please never hesitate to reply to my emails and ask questions or ask for support. That’s what I’m here for. And if you missed the workshop last week, all the information from the “Learn how to make things easier on your waistline during a pandemic” workshop is available for you right here. The feedback was awesome…another thing that made my week. #feelingthelove
