What’s your belly trying to tell you?

For years my clients have been coming to me complaining about their belly. They talk about their belly a lot.  They talk about buying clothes to hide it. Or how they won’t let anyone take their photos because of it.

So can we talk about this?

Because, if you want to lose weight and get rid of those hormonal imbalance symptoms, what’s going on in your belly matters.

Quite frankly, what’s going on in your belly should be priority #1.

You see your digestive health is linked to many aspects of your health.

As we get older, our body reduces its production of digestive enzymes and digestive acids. Bloating, gas, altered bowel movements, cramps, hemorrhoids, become more and more common.

And if you had a lifetime of antibiotic use (like me for the first twenty years of my life) or chronic dieting, it is probably going to hit you in the gut.

The good news is you can optimize the function of your belly with food and lifestyle.

The first step is to clean up your diet.  Once your diet cleans up, most women find their pipes start working better just by default.

I recommend my clients focus on PFF at every meal.  (PFF=protein, fat and fiber.)  And add up to 1 teaspoon of ground flaxseed to warm water and drink it in the morning, every day.  Works like a charm.

Something else to consider is the squatty potty. If you are struggling with constipation, this is a handy little device.

Look we need to keep things moving, I suggest you go to work on those bowel movements like it’s your job and figure out what’s going on so you can resolve it.

And please, be kind to your belly.  Because it’s just trying to give you a message that something is off.  And we can fix that.

Ta, ta for now,
Patti
