I adapted this smoothie from Dr. Mark Hyman’s Green Breakfast Smoothie. I am always trying to find ways to eat more veggies throughout my day. Since I always start my day with a hardy breakfast, I find this nutrient dense, whole food power smoothie is great for lunch on those days when I am on the go and in the car most of the day. I find it filling and it stays with me until dinner time.
In a blender add:
12 ounces water
2 handfuls spinach
1 handful cilantro
1 handful parsley
3 inches of a cucumber partially peeled
1 avocado
½-1 teaspoon salt
½ of a lemon or lime
Blend until smooth
