Pear Crisp

Ingredients
- Filling:
- 1/4 cup coconut sugar
- 2 large pears cut up
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 1/8 cup coconut sugar
- ½ tsp. cinnamon
- ¼ tsp. nutmeg
- pinch of salt
- 4 Tbsp cold unsalted butter

- PREPARATION
- For the Pear Filling:
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- In small ramekins, divide the pears. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
- For the Topping:
- In a medium mixing bowl, combine and mix dry ingredients. Add diced cold butter to the mixture and mix everything with your hands or a fork until butter is pea sized.
- Spread the topping evenly over the pears in each ramekin. Bake uncovered at 350˚F for 35 – 40 minutes, or until pear juices are bubbling at the edges and topping is crisp. Let crisp cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
