Pear Crisp

  • Filling:
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar
  • 2 large pears cut up
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • Topping:
  • 1/2 cup almond meal
  • 1/8 cup coconut sugar
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp. nutmeg
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 Tbsp cold unsalted butter


  • For the Pear Filling:
  • Preheat oven to 350 F.
  • In small ramekins, divide the pears. Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon
  • For the Topping:
  • In a medium mixing bowl, combine and mix dry ingredients. Add diced cold butter to the mixture and mix everything with your hands or a fork until butter is pea sized.
  • Spread the topping evenly over the pears in each ramekin. Bake uncovered at 350˚F for 35 – 40 minutes, or until pear juices are bubbling at the edges and topping is crisp. Let crisp cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
