Spiced Pumpkin Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/4 ea avocado
  • 1/2 ea apple cored
  • 1/4 cup canned pumpkin
  • 1/2 inch piece fresh ginger root peeled
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 3-5 each ice cubes depending on how cold you like your smoothie
  • 1 tbsp pure maple syrup optional

Instructions

  • Combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend on high speed until
  • smooth.

Notes

Serves 1
NOTE: If you would like to activate the enzymes in the seeds and nuts for easier digestion, you can soak them ahead of time. Put the seeds in 1 cup of water and refrigerate overnight. Drain and use as usual.
